My  Company                        My great-grandfather founded a family business for the production of stringed instruments in 1880, which my grandfather continued to run until 1962. Since 1970 I have running my own workshop, after learning the trade in Vogtland and Weimar.

Closely associated with the long tradition of music instrument making in the Musikwinkel, the violins of my master craftsman workshop are hand produced from naturally seasoned resonant wood.
The model and design, color and varnish are all individually made to correspond to the exact specifications and wishes of the individual customer, and according to the rich tradition of violin making of my native land.  The outstanding quality of my instruments has been honored by the Gold
Medal at the Leipzig Fair in 1983 and a prize at the International Violin Competition "Louis Spohr" in Kassel / Germany. My high-level of professional competence is reflected by my appointment on the jury for international violin competitions in Poznan, Sofia, Hradec Kralove, Mittenwald, and Moscow. Honored likewise as "Recognized Artistic Craftsman", I have been passing on my extensive experience and skills within the scope of practical training for students at the Department of Musical Instrument Construction of the West Saxony University of Zwickau (FH).
